Erin Perry -  Executive Director 

Erin has been with CEIP since 2003 as a summer Respite Support Worker. In 2005 Erin became an Early Childhood Interventionist with the program and then in 2011 she became the Executive Director. Erin’s passion is working with children and their families to ensure that they are well supported so they can reach their full potential. Her educational background is in Early Childhood Education from the Nova Scotia Community College and a Bachelors of Applied Arts in Child and Youth Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University. Erin’s family consists of her husband, Ray and their dog, Jackson. When she’s not at work, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking, going to the beach, working with dogs and horseback riding!

Gillian Ellis - Early Childhood Interventionist

Gillian has been a member of the CEIP team since 2005, and as the commercial says (as well as Gillian), "I'm Lovin' It"! Previous to joining the CEIP team Gillian worked at Maggie's Place for 5 years. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a B.Sc in Human Nutrition in 2001. Along with her work at CEIP, Gillian is an active member with Jumpstart/Kidsport, and Healthy Kids/Active Kids. Along with being a volunteer basketball coach at E.B Chandler Jr. High School, Gillian is also the Varsity Girls Basketball coach at ARHS. When shes not at work or coaching basketball, you can find Gillian bustin' a move to a tune or two (which can find its way into work and coaching!)

Angela Breen - Parenting Journey Interventionist

Angela Breen, BGS, Bed, initially worked with youth in education as an elementary school teacher. In January Angela joined the CEIP team, as a family support worker with Parenting Journey.  In her undergraduate degree, a primary focus was on Human Services, Counseling, and Psychology.   With additional workshops and training in Solution –Focused counseling, she has ignited the longstanding desire to support families that struggle with the challenges of parenting through a collaborative strength- based approach, that draws upon the personal goals of families, their resources and supports, and aids them in determining a healthy and realistic way of being together. She enjoys collaborating with other professionals and agencies to support and advocate the health and wellbeing of families in Cumberland County. Another passion is her own family which consists of her husband Kyle, her daughter Victoria, and her two lovable Pugs.  When not at work you might find Angela Camping, hiking, swimming, or reading!

Kate Jacobs  Early Childhood Interventionist

Kate Jacobs has been working with CEIP since 2010, working first part time and now full time. Before working for CEIP, Kate was a teacher for children with special needs in an Inuit community in Quebec; Kate graduated from McGill University. Kate also practiced as a massage therapist along side physiotherapist. Her husband and three children moved to Amherst from Calgary almost 3 years ago. Kate and her family live on a hobby farm where they keep sheep, goats, chickens, cats a dog and a cow. When Kate is not at work you can find her in her garden, in the barn working with the animals, camping or driving her kids to basketball practices and games. Kate’s biggest passion is her children, along with psychology and education. Ask Kate about one of her many adventures across Canada!
